The topic of Food Sustainability is a critical piece to the environmental movement. After research various alternatives, UCF Executive Dave Oswald, has decided to focus his Master’s thesis on a valuable initiative that uses a closed-loop type system to grow and cultivate fish (Aquaculture) and hydroponically grow plants. This solution could help feed impoverished areas that are currently unable to grow their own food. The result, a beautiful process known as AQUAPONICS!

Through events, Dave helps to educate IDEAS members on this sustainable agriculture method and provide an experiential learning laboratory called the MICE Lab (Minimal Input Controlled Environment) Lab!
