The ‘IDEAS Radio Show’ aims to educate the public on issues facing energy, water, food, waste and ecology. We make sustainability issues relevant and open up dialogue with Industry professionals, stakeholders and university affiliates to offer solutions to the environmental problems facing our generation.

Ban the bulb! Incandescent bulbs waste 90% of their energy in creating heat and only 10% for making light. These inefficient bulbs raise cooling costs, waste precious electricity and release millions of tons of co2 into the atmosphere in each year. Go outside. Yes you heard right! There is a whole world out there worth exploring. Florida has over 64 distinct habitats and many are filled with some of the most fascinating and unique creatures in North America. Visit a local nature preserve, join your local Audubon, Sierra Club or native plant society. Get involved in lake clean ups or take a night class in biology. Do you like fresh water? Well you should. Installing low flow aerators onto your faucets can save thousands of gallons of freshwater each year. Don’t be a jerk – ride your bike to work! Riding a bike is awesome. Did you know bikes were invented over 200 years ago? That’s long before we were using oil, gasoline or nuclear power. Riding a bike is a great way to be healthy, look cool and save tons of co2 from being released inti the atmosphere. Do the right thing and organize a bike group with friends of neighbors.
