Mudwalk ARTS Competition

The Mudwalk has been a part of the Seminole County Public School
curriculum since 1977, but state budget cuts to education have forced the school district to dramatically cut funding for the program.
Beginning next year, the Environmental Studies Center must be
self-sustaining. By January 2012, supporters must raise $130,000 to keep the program going in the future.

The silent auction, featuring environmentally themed works by local and nationally known artists, was held at the Historic Sanford Welcome Center, during the Fourth Friday Art Walk. Proceeds from the auction have be donated to the Environmental Studies Center, home of the MudWalk – a science field trip for fifth graders.

IDEAS for ARTS was delighted to partner with  Seminole County Environmental Studies Center to help them achieve this goal.
