This program is sponsored by IDEAS For Us, Inc and ENERGY STAR, in an effort to provide students with a rare opportunity to work with real businesses on everything from energy benchmarking and building performance issues to capital improvement projects.
This program includes 2 exam and 4 phases over the course of 6 weeks. Students are asked to participate and complete all 4 phases to be eligible for the training program certification.

Course 1: Energy Start Portfolio Manager (ESPM) Concepts
Basic Energy Star 101 and ESPM
Course 2: Theory into Practice
Data entry and Energy analysis of a commercial building
–> Mid-term Exam: Energy Specialist Associate
Course 3: Preparing for your Clients
Mock presentation and interview with building manager
Course 4: On-Site Assessment
Complete On-site assessment and energy benchmark of commercial building.
–> Final Exam: Case study report of building assessment
