– Art Creation Foundation for Children (ACFFC)
Case Study: Summer 2010
In the summer of 2010, IDEAS Executive Viktor Elsaieh, went back to his native island of Haiti and helped to implement the 1st international IDEAS initiative,
Vik teamed up with a Haiti non-profit, known as the “Art Creation Foundation for Children,” that focuses on engaging children in art-related projects. Our focus was to:
- Educate the kids about local environmental issues
- Engage them in action projects like ecosystem clean-ups
- Offer solutions that could solve these problems, such as creating art out of the trash collected.
By turning waste into usable products and art, Viktor was able to show others the beauty of “Upcycling” by turning trash into treasure.
This summer (2011), Viktor will be building the 1st official International IDEAs Chapter in Haiti, to educate the youth about environmental justice and climate change issues, as well as promote Upcycling-to-Art initiatives!
IDEAS for Haiti will be officially building in the Summer of 2011. For more information, emial Viktor Elsaieh at:
