‘IDEAS For UN’ officially launches July 2012

Over the past few months, IDEAS has been working to officially become an accredited NGO of the United Nations with the ability to taking youth around the World to participate in the international discussions on sustainable development.

In June 2012, Four (4) IDEAS leaders –  Christopher Stampar, Clayton Ferarra, Chris Castro, and Nick Stampar — had the opportunity of attending the 2012 United Nation Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) and preliminary conference events in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  This event became an incredible milestone in IDEAS history, and a tradition that will continue for years to come..

As of July 2012, IDEAS will be launching an international body called “IDEAS For UN (United Nations).”  This group of leaders, selected from across all chapters, have a chance to participate in various initiatives for the upcoming United Nations conferences around the World, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC or COP18) this coming November 2012!
